Booking Requirements

Anyone renting or driving one of our golf cart rental in Ocean Isle Beach or Sunset Beach must be at least 21 years of age.
A copy of driver’s license and automobile insurance is required.
Driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs is prohibited by law for all golf cart rentals.
All automobile driving and parking laws apply in Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach.
Everyone must be seated in a seat and wear a seatbelt at all times.

Rental Procedures

Booking Requirements

During summer season all golf cart rentals are Saturday to Friday, with pick-up Saturday morning.
Delivery to Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach on Saturday is 7am to 4pm and we cannot schedule a specfic delivery time.
Cart must be cleaned and fully charged for the next customer when picked up.
Pick-up begins Saturday at 7am.
Outside access to a 3-prong electrical outlet (110V) is needed to charge the LSV.

Cancellation must be received in writing by emailing Sunday@SunsationalCartRentals.com no later than 14 days prior to your scheduled rental start date.

Rules for Golf Cart Rentals (Ocean Isle Beach & Sunset Beach)

The operation of a low-speed vehicle is authorized with the following restrictions:

(1) A low-speed vehicle may be operated only on streets and highways where the posted speed limit is 35 miles per hour or less. This does not prohibit a low-speed vehicle from crossing a road or street at an intersection where the road or street being crossed has a posted speed limit of more than 35 miles per hour.

(2) A low-speed vehicle shall be equipped with headlamps, stop lamps, turn signal lamps, tail lamps, reflex reflectors, parking brakes, rear view mirrors, windshields, windshield wipers, speedometer, seat belts, and a vehicle identification number.

(3) A low-speed vehicle shall be registered and insured in accordance with N.C. Gen. Stats. 20-50 and 20-309.

(4) The Department of Transportation may prohibit the operation of low-speed vehicles on any road or highway if it determines that the prohibition is necessary in the interest of safety.
